Hogmanay 2018

~ Canapés ~

Smoked mackerel, beetroot and horseradish on toast

Steak tartare, baby capers, gherkins and mustard

 

~ Starters ~

Finest Scottish haggis parcels wrapped in filo pastry with a sweet fresh plum and red wine coulis 

Warm slow cooked pork belly served with braised cabbage, pork crackling and apple cider jus

West Coast king scallops with a bourbon and chorizo crust served with lemon dressing and mizuna leaves

Candy beetroot, goats cheese and walnut tart served with a basil pesto, baby rocket leaves and smoked tomato salsa

Seafood platter:  gravlax of halibut, smoked salmon, Arbroath Smokie roulade and sea bass ceviche, served with radish carpaccio and roast lemon crème fraiche

 

~ Mains ~ 

North Sea fillet of hake wrapped with Parma ham and basil served with baby new potatoes, cavallo nero and green lentils offered with a lime and samphire butter sauce

Fillet of sea trout and devilled crab meat accompanied by olive oil mashed potato, fine beans and baby red chard served with a pink grapefruit and Atlantic prawn salsa

Scottish lamb rump served with roasted celeriac, chestnut mushroom, curly kale and black pudding crumble with Aran mustard and game jus

Fillet of Aberdeen Angus beef with slow cooked ox tongue accompanied by a root vegetable gratin, purple broccoli and baby onions with a thyme sauce.

Wild rice pilaf with cranberry, apple and pecan nuts served with ginger and chilli pak choi and a tomato and red onion chutney

 

~ Puddings ~

Dark chocolate and mascarpone roulade, with raspberry ripple ice-cream and lime syrup

Traditional Cranachan of Drambuie, honey and roasted oatmeal served in a glass, topped with raspberries and shortbread.

Bramble crème brulee served with shortbread, toasted flaked almonds and rhubarb and Edinburgh gin compote

Selection of 4 artisan cheeses from George Mewes with baby oatcakes, home-made chutney and grapes  

 

Artisan roasted coffee or tea selection with homemade tablet 

 

Hogmanay Dinner £59

An optional 10% service charge will be added to each bill.

 

We have private dining options available. Please inquire as to availability.

 

You would be most welcome to visit our Gin and Wine bar at Dublin Street (ground floor), to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Scottish gins, champagne, fine wines, Paolozzi Edinburgh craft lager on tap, and bottled Scottish beers.

 

Please note that last orders will be taken at 9:00pm and the restaurant will close by 11:30pm.

 

Bookings of 6 or more people are requested to pay a non-refundable £10 per person deposit.
