  Biodynamically produced by the great Jean-Louis Trapet, from this one hectare vineyard. Powerful notes of lychees, limes and heady spice with a luscious, velvety texture and rich, honeyed finish.

  Richly fruited with citrus and apple on the palate.  Balanced with creamy vanilla and a light touch of oak. The fruit in this wine come exclusively from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault!

  A beautiful, glittering gold, this offers an attractive nose of grapefruit and orange, beeswax and white flowers. The palate echoes these aromatics, allied to orchard fruit and hints of marmalade.

  On the nose this wine offers subtle aromas of strawberries and raspberries laced with apricot kernel and cream. The palate is ripe, with delicate red berries, a creamy texture and an underlying minerality. Very top quality producer!

  Vibrant, dark purple-red, with ripe, red cherries, plum fruit and notes of spicy liquorice. Full and well structured on the palate, with elegant, soft tannins and ripe black fruit balanced by a spicy oak and a delicate, vanilla and chocolate finish. Delicious!

  Plum ruby in colour, with a complex nose of mushroom and dark, perfumed fruits.  The palate is silky with ripe red and black cherries and a warming note of spice.  
24 Bodegas Zugober Belezos Rioja Reserva 2010 - Rioja, Spain £41.95
  Bursting with ripe, dark fruit on the nose, the palate displays rich, savoury notes of leather and tobacco finishing with a touch of vanilla. Faithful in the Rioja tradition, this wine is elegant and ripe with firm round tannins and a long finish.

  Produced by the legend of the great Super Tuscan estate Ornellaia, namely Lodovico Antinori. Black cherry, pepper and spice. Sultry combination of rich fat flavours. An elegant Tuscan, and a personal favourite!

  Deep black ruby in colour. The nose is heady and indulgent with peppery, black wild fruit and rich chocolate, with chunky dark fruit on the palate. Limited production, only 500 cases produced in a vintage!  
27 PSI 2011 Peter Sisseck - Ribero del Duero, Spain £47.50
  Intensely coloured with a heady dash of pepper, wild berry aromatics on both the nose and palate. Produced by arguably Spain's greatest wine maker, this is the baby of  the Dominio de Pingus Estate!

  Deep shimmering ruby in colour, this offers accessible dark, sweet fruit on the nose.  The palate is rich, supple and succulent, dense, with a well-integrated structure and good length. Produced by the team at Mouiex, owner of Château Petrus.

  From a small family estate, which has been producing wine since 1794. Powerful aromas of black forest fruit and crushed black pepper, blend with a smooth, juicy palate.

  The soils, shared with its neighbour, Pétrus, are key to this wine's understated richness. Designed to be accessible in youth, Hospitalet de Gazin presents ripe cherries and plum fruit, delicately spiced. Elegant, velvety and deliciously moreish!

  Attractive, deep golden colour. The nose is immediately complex with stewed apples, cinnamon and brioche notes. The palate is concentrated, richly textured with lovely bright acidity and a persistent finish of almond nuttiness. A real treat.  
  A sweet wine may be the perfect compliment to a quality dessert, they can be much appreciated  at the start of an evening to start ones palate off gently.
